So, I started off at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) pursing a degree in nursing. College for me started off with an unexpected obstacle because of family circumstances and life in general. So, as I navigated my way through life I went to school part time or every chance I could or had the bandwidth for. Work became something that consumed me and slowly I began to lose the vision. In the Fall of 2024, I decided that if my goal was to get a career, I needed to get serious. So, I started school that fall as a full-time student once again and between the fall and spring semesters I got my gpa up to a 3.5 and transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. But this time, majoring in Communication. This change in majors caused my graduation date to be pushed back another year. After two long semesters, what was a year pushback was then moved to 6 months early! I will now be graduating in May ’27 majoring in communication/information science and technology.
